Meet award winning artist Joan Polishook who presents her impressionistic interpretations, reflecting her love of nature. A plein air painter, her work includes scenes of the rural countryside with an emphasis on old barns, woods, fields and waterscape, the majesty of tree and plant life….

Joan received her BA in Art from the City University of New York. She was an early childhood teacher for many years, before retiring to give full attention to her painting.
Joan’s work is on permanent display at Grey Towers NHS, Milford, PA and the Dorflinger-Suydam Sanctuary. She has had solo shows at the Dutot Museum, Kettle Creek, Golden Fish and Looking Glass Galleries. Her work has also been exhibited at the PA state capital, the Chautauqua Institute and the Westfield N.J. Borough. The artist’s drawings and paintings reach far and wide into private art collections in the US and abroad.
Her first and second place awards, magazine and program covers are outstanding amid the numerous prizes she has won for her prolific art works.
